    I remember when television was brought into our house. Of course, in those days all the programming was in black and white. My father was the only one in the house allowed to touch it’s gorgeous shiny knobs that set below the screen encased in a blonde wood cabinet. Those were the days of “The Howdy Doody Show” and news programs. Yes, I’m a BBB (Bona-fide Baby Boomer). In those days, programming ended every night before ten o’clock.


    Now, thank goodness, watching television can be an all day and night affair. I grew up watching great kung fu movies, all the tear-jerkers from the 50’s, and my all-time favorite television series: the original Star Trek. I have had many wonderful years watching television and movies, and watching the colorization and special effects in shows improve dramatically. I’ve laughed, cried and fussed at my television screen on many occasions, just like I do with all my family and friends.
